The read
What's actually worth knowing.
- They have a shorter stem and redesigned fit compared to earlier models, plus touch controls built into the earbuds themselves for managing music and calls.
- The H2 chip handles voice isolation during calls, which helps cut through background noise so the person on the other end hears you more clearly.
- Battery life maxes out at 5 hours per charge, with the case extending that to 30 hours total, so you'll need to charge the case regularly if you use them all day.
As of Sep 1, the Apple Airpods 4 (Renewed) is a good price at $93.99 — versus a $95.36 typical price and a $79.99 12-month low, based on Amazon's own price history.
Its price this year
A fair price — but not a real “sale.”
Sale check Amazon shows “21% off,” measured against a $119 “list price” it doesn't charge. Its usual price is $95 — real discount ≈ 1%.
The phantom Amazon has left this $119 “list price” untouched for 7 months — while the item actually sold for about $95. It's a fixed anchor, not a price it charges.
