The read
What's actually worth knowing.
- You get a decent bundle of recording software included, like Pro Tools Intro and Ableton Live Lite, so you're not starting from scratch if you don't already have a DAW.
- The single mic input means you can only record one thing at a time, so if you need to capture multiple instruments or vocals simultaneously, you'd need a different interface.
- It runs on USB power with no external power supply needed, making it genuinely portable for recording on the go or in different rooms.
As of Sep 1, the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface is overpriced at $119.99 — versus a $113.26 typical price and a $67.95 12-month low, based on Amazon's own price history.
