The read
What's actually worth knowing.
- The backrest reclines from 90 degrees upright to 120 degrees back, and you get a pull-out footrest so you can fully stretch out when you want to relax.
- It has metal legs instead of plastic, which means it should hold up better over time, though it does weigh 40 pounds so moving it around isn't trivial.
- The chair works for gaming, but also for general desk work, watching shows, or just taking a break, so it's not limited to one activity.
As of Sep 1, the Gaming Chair with Footrest is a good price at $85.99 — versus a $87.61 typical price and a $69.99 12-month low, based on Amazon's own price history.
Its price this year
A fair price — but not a real “sale.”
Sale check Amazon shows “25% off,” measured against a $115 “list price” it doesn't charge. Its usual price is $88 — real discount ≈ 2%.
The phantom Amazon has left this $115 “list price” untouched for 14 months — while the item actually sold for about $88. It's a fixed anchor, not a price it charges.
