The read
What's actually worth knowing.
- Battery lasts up to 11 days in regular smartwatch mode, but drops to 19 hours if you're using GPS actively, so plan accordingly for longer training blocks.
- The watch gives you a morning report with sleep, recovery, and training data when you wake up, plus it tells you how long to rest between hard workouts based on your body's actual recovery needs.
- It includes over 25 activity profiles beyond just running, so you can track cycling, strength training, HIIT, and other workouts if you cross-train.
As of Aug 17, the Garmin Forerunner 165 is a good price at $199.99 — versus a $218.39 typical price and a $129 12-month low, based on Amazon's own price history.
