The read
What's actually worth knowing.
- The controller is quite small and lightweight at just over a pound, so it's actually practical to carry around if you're DJing at different venues or events.
- It has the core DJ tools you'd need like hot cues, loops, effects, and a sampler, though it's a stripped-down setup compared to larger controllers.
- The RGB lighting and strobe effects are controlled through the Serato software and sync to your mix, which adds a visual element without requiring separate lighting gear.
As of Sep 1, the Hercules DJControl Starlight is a good price at $94.88 — versus a $100.77 typical price and a $69.99 12-month low, based on Amazon's own price history.
