The read
What's actually worth knowing.
- The backlit keys automatically turn on when your hands approach and adjust to your lighting conditions, so you're not manually toggling the lights on and off.
- Battery lasts up to 15 days with backlighting on, or 10 months with it off, and charges via USB-C.
- If you use macOS with FileVault enabled, you'll need to use the included USB receiver instead of Bluetooth to enter your password at startup, since Bluetooth won't work at that stage.
As of Sep 1, the Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Illuminated is overpriced at $179.99 — versus a $170.24 typical price and a $95.99 12-month low, based on Amazon's own price history.
