The read
What's actually worth knowing.
- The speaker uses multiple drivers and waveguides to spread sound throughout a room rather than just projecting it forward, so you get audio from different angles depending on where you sit.
- You can pair two Era 300 speakers with a Sonos Arc or Beam soundbar to create surround channels that work with Dolby Atmos for movies and shows, though that requires buying additional equipment.
- It has a built-in microphone for voice commands through Alexa and supports Sonos Voice Control, plus it gets regular software updates to add new features and services.
As of Sep 1, the Sonos Era 300 is a good price at $379 — versus a $447.16 typical price and a $339.99 12-month low, based on Amazon's own price history.
